Nakelo or Mindbody?
Mindbody is a reference for yoga, dance and fitness studios, with a consumer app where people find and book classes, and a branded app for the studio offered as an option in the App Store and Google Play. Nakelo has neither: it’s your gym’s own app, under your name, in French, installed from the browser. Does Nakelo follow the Consumer Protection Act for gym memberships?
Yes. A membership with a commitment comes with a health studio contract that holds the required content, lasts 12 months at most, is paid month by month and never renews by itself: the member gets the renewal offer 45 days before the end. On cancellation, the app works out what you may keep and what to refund.
Does Nakelo have an app for my members like Mindbody?
Your members book, pay and sign their waiver in a portal under your name, which they install on their phone from the browser. It isn’t an App Store or Google Play app, and there’s no consumer app for discovering studios like Mindbody’s.
Can I import my members from Mindbody?
Yes. Your members, their passes and memberships, class history and past sales come in from Mindbody’s reports, with a preview and a one-click undo. Saved cards don’t carry over: your members enter their card again.
Does Nakelo work for a yoga or dance studio?
Yes: class schedule, class passes and memberships, booking with a waiting list, make-up credits, waivers signed online, check-in and instructor payroll. Personal training appointments and the shop can be added when you need them.
